In each year of its developments artificial intelligent programs keep returning to the drawing board to have more added to them and to work out the bugs in them. This is one of the pleasures of predictive models in the physical sciences is that the basic formulation does not change as one moves ahead degree by degree or cycle by cycle allowing a division of labor. The scientists only need to invent the formulation, or model, for a single cycle. When the cycle is figured out it can be delegated to a computer to a computer to do over and over again. Once a cycle or group of cycles has been compiled into a program all of the changes that are made to it are basically additions or subtractions of cycles. Take a look at new computers. The fist thing that they are built to do is recognize the already existing programs that have been or are in use. After that is accomplished the computer just adds updates to its already recognized, or installed programs. The acceptation to this would be if the program were a brand new one that was being put into the computers system. This realization that a machine can be built up to imitate the human method of calculating is referred to as ?the digital approach?(Bailey 17). By not having to write all new programs from scratch in order to make them better it allows the stages of the developing and of improving them to spring forward in great leaps and bounds.
